Experts Tips For Maintaining An Event Tent

Miami Tent Company understands how important properly maintaining your tent is. Inspecting and taking care of obvious defects in the tent fabric and hardware as well as proper tent set up and take down is vital steps that every tent owner should follow. It also consists of interacting with customers about where the tent will be set, potential blockages like overhead wires along with possible temperature level modifications.

Even correct upkeep of your vehicles utilized to provide and set up the tent is very important. Following are some practical pointers on how to take care of your party event tent in order to accomplish the longest life possible.

Expert Tip # 1 Don't get it dirty

That is easier said than done but a good starting point. If possible, constantly have a drop cloth available and keep the vinyl dry. If you do get it dirty we recommend spreading the tent out on grass, get wide nylon bristle brooms, take your shoes off, spread non concentrated laundry cleaning agent over it include water and get to work. That will take the majority of the dirt off.

You can experiment with different area cleaners for stained locations. Test a smaller area first. For other difficult areas you can make use of 3 parts water 1 part Clorox to scrub with. Do one panel at a time and after that clean off immediately, otherwise it will remove the gloss from the vinyl. You can utilize this very same mix of Clorox and water on underside, where seat belts show, and actually let it dry without cleaning off. This will combat mildew in the future.

Many bigger rental companies will use industrial cleaning machines for their event tents. This is a terrific alternative for fast cleaning but use care. This procedure is quick but can also wear the tent vinyl out quicker. It can also cause lace lines to expand and trigger the tent to not stretch out inappropriately.

Expert Tip # 2 Check and repair obvious damage or problems at first sight

While taking your tent down it is important to check for wetness. Water and wind are your worst enemies. Mold-resistant fabrics will help in reducing the premature destruction of your gorgeous wedding event tent, however there are no guarantees with this technology. Over time, it is likely that some of your older party tents will not be as "mold resistant".

After every tent has been taken down and the tent top/sidewall vinyl has been examined, it is necessary to check each one of the poles/hardware as well. Patch rips, cuts and splits before they expand and cause additional damage. With your hardware, particularly hardware that touches the vinyl, wipe it clean prior to use to secure against vinyl from discoloration. All webbing, stitches, joints, steel rings & snap hooks ought to be examined to make sure they are in excellent working order. Stakes ought to be straight and ropes or truckers ratchets need to be in great condition.

Expert Tip # 3 Proper storage

The best option would be to have your tent put on pallets and then up on some kind of "racking system". This would enable air circulation between the tent bag and the floor and prevent moisture from getting into the tent bag and tent. You do not want your tent vinyl on the floor. It is extremely simple to pick up wetness and trigger discoloration on the product. If you don't have a "racking system" you would have to utilize a water resistant tarpaulin on the floor and put the tents on top of it.

Any tent that is taken down wet needs to be completely dried out prior to storing. Also, it is crucial to not fold your sidewall in the very same place every time. This will certainly help extend their life.
Temperature also can influence tent storage.

Miami Tent Company have delivered our pole tents to 143 different countries and possessions all over the world. That covers about any climate you can imagine. If you are storing your tent over the winter season, avoid moving if possible. Do stagnate them if your outdoor storage structure area is less than 40 degrees Fahrenheit (4.5 degrees Celsius). Once you bring them from storage, allow them to sit overnight in a warm room 60 degrees Fahrenheit (15.6 degrees Celsius) prior to removing them from their storage bag.

FROM COLLEGE TEACHER TO TENT MAKER

Merry Christmas everyone! As promised, I am going to share more about the founder of Miami Missionary Tent, my father, Clair Tromsness.

At age 4, Clair felt God's call upon his life. As a young man he entered seminary to prepare for the ministry. He recalled that while there he became agnostic. He tried for 5 years to overcome his agnosticism. He finally left seminary and went to school at Stanford University where he received a master's degree in English. Clair taught college classes in Miami, Oklahoma for 16 years. During this time he was spiritually hungry but was unable to satisfy that hunger.

Then in 1971 he met some Pentecostal Christians who showed him the church of Jesus Christ was alive and vibrant today. Through the faithful prayers and witness of these men, he gave his life to the Lord.

In 1978 the Holy Spirit began to tug gently at his heart. He knew a change was forthcoming. He had met Assemblies of God Missionary-Evangelist Mike Hines. A licensed pilot, Clair had been flying to Central America during summers doing volunteer missions work. His friendship with Mike and the Lord's leading eventually contributed to a change in his life.

In 1980 Mike called Clair and explained he was planning on holding Good News Crusades throughout Paraguay. He said the Assemblies of God Division of Foreign Missions wanted 50 tents for those crusades. Mike asked if he knew of anybody who could build these tents. Clair felt quickened in his spirit and told Mike he would do it. He had spent the summer before in Central America helping make tents but he knew those tents were leaky and poorly designed. He knew the Lord was calling him to build the best tents possible for His work. He resigned from the college and the rest is history.

Miami Missionary Tent has shipped tents to 135 countries and possessions around the world. Millions of people have accepted Christ as their personal Savior under our tents. I can't wait to see what God has planned for Miami Missionary Tent next.

Our Pole Tents and Food Supplies for Haiti

Hello everyone. I pray you have been busy and blessed! God has blessed us with many sales this year. We just loaded a 40’ container full of 44 tents and 4 pallets of food/supplies for Haiti. This effort was coordinated with Global Aid Network which is part of Campus Crusade for Christ International. Thank the Lord for the benefactor’s involved to purchase all of this. The tents will be used as long as possible for churches. This is the second large order we have shipped to Haiti.

In the last few years we have added many new countries to our list of where our tents are being used including Armenia, Botswana, India, Mongolia, Belgium, Zimbabwe and Israel. One of our tents was actually set up on the Mount of Olives in Israel. A local tried to set the tent on fire by throwing a Molotov Cocktail Bomb on it but it simply burned a small hole in the tent and the services went forward. Praise the Lord!

I can't begin to express what a blessing it is to play our part in the Lord’s ministry with the gospel tent. So many incredible people from around the world are called into the tent ministry. It is not an easy thing to do but the Holy Spirit moves in such an awesome way under the tent. There is such a freedom there and it allows for a “neutral” place for people to meet.

Thanks to all of you who think of Miami Missionary Tent and keep us in your prayers. There is still much to do before the Lord returns. I pray the Lord will continue to richly bless all of you.

In Christ,

In God We Still Trust

While other nations have built their governments upon the shaky foundations of communism, socialism, and countless other anti-God philosophies, only to see those foundations crumble, America stands without equal as a beacon of hope and freedom in a hurting world. Our Founding Fathers delivered to us a system of government that has enjoyed unprecedented success: we are now the world's longest ongoing constitutional republic. Well over two hundred years under one form of government is an accomplishment unknown among contemporary nations.

While we have much to admire and love and be thankful for in being able to call America our home, our nation is rapidly drifting from its biblical foundations. Our freedom to serve God and to promote the gospel in our land is disintegrating. There is a great spiritual battle going on that is threatening our country, our families, and our lives. Only God's intervention will return America to solid footing and restore a moral nation that righteousness will exalt.

We must Pray - Our founding fathers knew the power and purpose of prayer
We must Process - Have a better understanding of our laws and governmental processes
We must Participate - This is the key for change and success
We must Persevere - The battle is not always won by the strongest or the smartest but by those who persist and persevere

Desirae is back!

She had her beautiful baby boy Jayden on September 27th. We are happy to have her back and so are our customers. Desirae is an integral part of our staff and was missed. She quickly picked up the understanding of what makes our tents unique and much stronger than others, as well as being quite affordable. She has also done an excellent job in refining our advertising and dramatically increasing our marketing efforts.

So glad to have you back Des! Despite all of the tremendous responsibilities of being a mother, we pray each day will bring you joy upon joy with your precious new child.
